At evalu, we build the tactile sensing technology that allows robots to feel, adapt, and interact safely with the physical world. Our mission is to establish the industrial standard for soft capacitive 3D force sensing in robotic hands and grippers.

Our Origin

evalu is a spin-out from novel GmbH, a global leader in capacitive force and pressure measurement systems with more than 40 years of experience in high-precision sensing.

For decades, novel has pioneered capacitive force sensors, calibration systems, and industrial-grade measurement electronics used worldwide in biomechanics, medicine, sports science, and industrial applications.

evalu was founded to transfer this deep sensor expertise into a new domain: robotic tactile intelligence.

Why We Exist

Today’s robots operate largely without tactile feedback.

This limits dexterity, safety in human-robot interaction, and the ability to handle fragile or variable objects. As robots move from structured factory environments into human spaces, the lack of touch becomes a fundamental bottleneck.

We founded evalu to remove this bottleneck.

Our Technology

evalu develops soft capacitive 3D force sensors for robotic fingertips.

Our sensors measure normal and shear forces and reconstruct multi-axis force vectors in real time.
